In this activity student will practice the Simple Present Tense

1. Students should first work alone and complete the prompts below about themselves. Answers should be written using the positive or negative form of the Present Simple.
a. have a dog
EXAMPLE I have a dog or I don’t have a dog
b. listen to music every day
c. eat dinner with my family
d. come to school by bus
e. talk to police officers often
f. sleep a lot
g. eat bread every day
h. have a Facebook account
i. read a lot
j. like math
k. watch TV every day
l. drink coffee often
2. Next, students discuss their answers with their partners. They are not to show their documents, but rather simply say their sentences out loud.
Partners meanwhile indicate whether their partners do or don’t do the activities below. For example, if a student says, “I don’t have a dog,” partners should highlight “no” for letter #A below.

3. Finally, pairs of students should work with another pair of students. In order to focus on the usage of the third person singular, students should present the information about their partners to the other pair.
Example:
Hi guys. This is Rodrigo. He doesn’t have a dog. He doesn’t listen to music every day. He eats dinner with his family....
